CD ReviewsIt's that Heaven song......again?! Dance Music Guy | Cajun Country, LA | 06/26/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "Yeah, first there was Eyra Gail and now we've got DJ Sammy, Yanou, and their vocalist Do. If you are like me, I'm sure these two songs have been confusing you for the last few months. It is extremely hard to figure out who's who as far as the vocals go. I have yet to figure out how both camps decided to remake this song at almost the same time. I was really impressed with this attempt from DJ Sammy(a.k.a.). I tend to favor Do's vocals over Eyra's, even though I believe they both have done excellent jobs with their lyrical bliss. This version features really cool beats, echoes, guitar-plucks, and vocoder usage. The remixes are all tight. A few of them are quite lengthy, one way drawn out, but at least you get your money's worth! As far as the cover goes, your guess is as good as mine. I highly recommend this single to fans of Ian Van Dahl("Castles In the Sky"&"Will I?") , Lilo("Everything"), Milk Inc.("Walk On Water"&"In My Eyes"), DJ Encore("Walking In the Sky"&"I See Right Through to U"), Sylver("Turn the Tide"), and Fragma. If you are from my area, you can check this song out on the CD "Break Dis Vol.1" at Tunz. If my review was helpful to you, then don't forget to vote. THANKS!" Spectacular remake/remix of lackluster Bryan Adams song Patrick L. Randall | Silver Spring, MD | 11/06/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) ""Heaven" by DJ Sammy and Yanou, Featuring Do (that's a mouthful) is wonderfully upbeat dance song, remade from Bryan Adam's earlier version. Like much of Adams' work, his version of "Heaven" was slow, plodding, and downright sleep-inducing. Electronic upstart DJ Sammy got his hands on this song and, in the tradition of many techno songs, remixed it for dance clubs. The key that makes this song so amazing, though, is the discovery of young musical ingénue, Do (short for Dominique). Her voice carries this song and makes it uniquely hers'. The video for this song is equally impressive, and it is clear that Do's physical beauty matches the beauty of her voice. She looks like a more 'heavenly' version of LeeLee Sobieski (who is quite a looker in her own right). What's even more striking is that is that DJ Sammy and Do produce a slower, more romantic version of the song (called "Candlelight Mix") which is even more moving than it's fast-paced counterpart. One can only hope that Do's voice will find a greater audience in the United States and that we can expect more to come from her." The best song Patrick L. Randall | 01/18/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "this song is STILL my favorite song and when u listen to it, you'll want to dance to it. a lot better than eyra gail's version, cuz Do sounds like an angel in this song. the best mixes on this single are the original, extended one, and the anastasia remixes. i also like the candlelight mix and i LOVE the video, but they weren't on this single. if ur looking for Yanou's Candlelight Mix, its on the Heaven (cd signle) import with bonus video and extra songs."
