Album DescriptionHalifax based The Heavy Blinkers have been described as Bacharach meets Brian Wilson. The Heavy Blinkers list both Wilson and Bacharach as influences, as well as Serge Gainsbourg, Bob Dylan, Phil Spector, and The Bee Gees. As on their first three releases, The Night And I Are Still So Young continues the tradition of lush, introspective pop. Living on the East Coast of Canada, the Heavy Blinkers experience an average of 43 snow days a year. It is in this time, that songwriters Jason MacIsaac and Andrew Watt lock themselves up in their respective houses and write their pop masterpieces. The rest of their time is spent touring Canada, the UK, and Japan, where they have found much success. The Night And I Are Still So Young marks the Blinker?s debut on Cooking Vinyl USA, but the members of this young band are no novices, having released three previous albums.
