Throw in some harsh (but intelligible) vocals, a ton of cool samples, and occasional classical and medieval elements, and you have something for everyone who likes dark music." - VIRUS-MAG.COM With Kadavergehorsam, Heimataerde present their second album. Work on the new material started some months after their debut and accompanied the genesis of the Under der Linden EP in Spring 2006. Continuing the story of the undead knight Ashlar, Heimataerde keeps within the Templar setting. However, as far as the work process was concerned, some experimentation was necessary. Heimataerde benefited from the friendly cooperation of other artists in the indie scene, who were invited to contribute in interpretation, voice, and sound design and thus leave their own marks on a Heimataerde production. Participants in this dramatic musical dialogue include ASP, Die in Winter, Winterstahl, X-Fusion, and Xotox. Heimataerde is delighted to bring the outcome to your ears!

Stands out from most other electronic projects...

"Heimataerde is one of the few electronic acts doing something truly original. It has become almost cliched to say that electronic music all sounds the same, but it is true, especially in the dark electro scene. Heimataerde isn't exactly dark electro, isn't exactly industrial, but blends in a lot of these elements to create something really different.

Different isn't necessarily good, but I think this music is. It is heavily layered. Industrial beats are complemented by medieval folk music, the samples do not sound corny, and the lyrics are fairly good considering the subject matter. Songs take some time to develop, and they never feel repetitive. The interludes and instrumentals are excellent; they don't feel like filler material.

The most energetic tracks on Kadavergehorsam are Lebloser Koerper and Morituri Salutant, the most mellow is Eins Sein. Songs like Jerusalem could probably have some crossover appeal for fans of medieval/Celtic music. I only bought Kadavergehorsam a few weeks ago, but so far I would say its replay value is high. Highly recommended."

"Heimataerde is an act I came across while I was looking for some new electro/industrial music, I heard a few songs before on various online sites so i decided to give them a shot. I bought their first album "gotteskrieger" and fell in love with their music. I found this album and knew I needed to have it, this is very original electro/industrial music. Heimataerde makes you move with their unique combination of agressive electronic music and celtic folk melodies. It will catch you by surprise and you will not help but like it!"
