"This collection was never released on Lp before it appeared as a CD in 1989. I plucked it from the rack and took it home to try it out. I knew it would be good, but I wasn't prepared for just how good it would be. Since I have been a long-time fan of film music, this collection was especially nice. Henry's arrangements for the Cinema Paradiso suite have left an indelible mark on me. Also, this collection was an excellent means for many of us to experience some of the different moods, and music by Mr. Ennio Morricone, and Nina Rota that we may not have heard before. Though this collection contains none of Henry's compositions, it is one of my favorite Mancini works. the music is sweet, at times haunting, and always wonderful."
Brilliant work

"Mancini is at the very top of his game on Cinema Italiano. His arrangements are varied to absolutely pique listener interest yet the tracks flow beautifully...***** + stars"
