It does not apply to the Varese Sarabande recording which I have never heard. The recording of this classic film score is of unusually poor sound quality. At times it sounds as if it were lifted from a televised showing of the movie with a microphone in front of the TV's speaker. Seek a cleaner version of this music. This Cd is deceptively labeled "Touch of Evil (soundtrack)" in order to con people into buying it thinking that they will be getting the classic soundtrack from the Touch of Evil movie. Instead what it is is a bunch of old Mancini easy listening lounge music and has not one track from the movie on it. In short it's a complete ripoff that should be avoided at all costs just on principle alone."
