Not just a TV soundtrack

"The very first time I watched this show, I noticed the music and how different it was. Then I saw the music credit names "Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman" and instantly remembered they'd once been in the Revolution with Prince (what can I say, my head is just filled with trivia like this).
After playing serious catch-up with Heroes during a two-weekend television marathon, I decided to order the soundtrack. I'm so glad I did! I haven't stopped playing it since. I listen to it on the iPod while walking and it often plays very loudly on the computer while I write. Haven't gotten sick of it yet, and I have probably listened to it thirty times in the last week.
The music is broken down into motifs created for each of the main characters, then concludes with the confrontation between good and evil in Kirby Plaza, followed by a piece the composers state "IS the essence of Heroes."
My favorite pieces? Hands down, Peter and Claire. I can listen to these two selections over and over, as both are quite beautiful and for some reason, capture the feeling of the series for me better than the others. But I also love the repeating clock/time piece motif used in Hiro and Sylar, as well.
Wendy and Lisa have gotten very, very good at what they do, and in the process, have created a stand-out soundtrack for a really good series. Highly recommended!"

"There isn't hardly a day that I don't listen to this CD. Wendy and Lisa did a awesome job. Heroes is the best show on TV, and now has this CD to go along with it."
