"I was always online looking to buy a new copy of Skanless, but never found one until recently. I have the cassette, along with Swingin, from when it was originally released and they were always some of my favorite albums. When I saw that C was coming out with a new album, I could hardly wait. So finally it came out, after nearly a decade without an album. And to those who are also waiting for the new cuts, you won't be disappointed. He starts it with a catchy hook in 'Whoop' and takes it all the way through to a just as good 'Get It'. DJ Quik's influence (also one of my favorite artists/producers) is very evident. So much so that after hearing only a couple seconds of some of the songs, you will instantly know that he was directing that particular one. All the songs are done in classic Hi-C style, with my favorite being 'Hoochie-Coochie'. It's got that Bone-Thugs fast rhymin' flow to it that C pulls off flawlessly. Hi-C........it's about time, man. Keep em' comin. It's a shame more people don't know about this guy and how smooth his style is."
