"I saw a tiny ad for this band in the San Francisco Bay Guardian (sfbg.com)

and came here to listen to some song previews. After listening to 3 thirty second clips, I decided to buy the album Mp3 download. In another 4 minutes I owned this amazing CD. The rapping is amazing, very old school, no gangsta or whatever Lil Wayne or T-Pain is called. The live band is great, real guitar playing, blues like Lightnin' Hopkins and Leadbelly and John Lee Hooker and maybe T-Bone Walker. This is what Chris Thomas King was trying to make with 21st century blues from the hood. This band truely represents Oakland, CA and all the music blended from that city."
