Him is now a full-time touring act featuring members of June Of '44, Rex, Hoover, and Mice Parade. Constantly circling the world with an ever-evolving 7-piece lineup, HiM offers an unique, entrancing groove - driven by a tribal, two-kit rhythm section through Afrojazz and thick dub fusion...and, in the fine tradition of Mr. Scharin's work, thick layers of hypnotic effects. Experimentational jazz groove...

"If you thought the last person to experiment with jazz was Miles in the 70s, you are mistaken. Jazz and most music in general is all about moving forward, and that is what HiM continues to do. HiM isn't really straight-up jazz, it is like beat-oriented music with jazzy overtones, but I would say that this is their jazziest effort yet. Doug Scharin and about 10 other guys really kick it old school on this cd with horns, percussion, guitars etc.... BUY IT!"
