"This album and band are just great! I just yesterday saw them play a live gig at our local punk/metal hangout for only 8 bucks, even met the entire group, and man i'll tell ya, Himsa are off the hook! They're a blend of hardcore Metal with a splash of Punk, all adding up to great great ear candy. I bought this spacific cd at the show last night, so I haven't quite heard all of it, but from what I heard there, and what i'm hearing on this cd, you should atleast give Himsa a try. Especially, if you're into Heavy Metal or Punk. If you ever get the chance to see them live, do so. It's most of the time, cheap, and chances are you'll get to meet the group free of charge. And the mosh pits and croud surfing are intense and insane at their shows. Give this group a try, you will NOT be dissappointed!"
Himsa sure has changed...

"with the addition of John Pettibone, but you won't hear me complaining. I saw Himsa play a few years ago, and they didn't impress me much. Fast forward to last Halloween's show with a new lead singer (former Undertow frontman). Amazing hardcore that exemplifies the many great Seattle hardcore bands. I suggest you pick this cd up, you won't be disappointed. After you listen to the CD a few hundred times, see them live. They're amazing."

"The latest release Death is Infinite from northwest metal hardcore outfit Himsa shows the band stepping away from earlier, more experimental song writing and towards full-on metal. Elements of hardcore can be found throughout the songs but like most bands in the hardcore scene today there is little resemblance to early 1980s DC hardcore. This is an excellent release that you can shake your fist to and headbang along with. The vocal delivery gives the lyrics an urgent and determined sound which works well with phrases such as "I refuse to submit." While I would have liked to see Himsa continue down the same road they had taken with earlier albums, this CDep rocks and should find Himsa gaining additional fans."
