"I remember seeing this band play when I just started high school. At that time they had a song on the radio ("Diamond"), which generated some quick interest from the kids in the area. Then, just as quickly as they appeared, Hoarse seemed to fade away like quarters at an arcade. However, I thought the album, although nothing remotely close to groundbreaking at the time (latter half of the 90's), had some pretty good cuts that made for a simple but enjoyable listen. The singer John and the drummer Jimmy went on to form The Fags, who have made their prescence felt in and around the Detroit area.As for this record, the music has a very alternative feel to it, but is also less polished than most so a slight indie rock sound accompanies it. My favorite cuts are "Issue", "Push", "Diamond", and "Tuesday Morning"; the first two are still being played once in a while by The Fags. Give this a listen if youre a fan of The Fags or just feel like taking a trip back to the 90's."
