Hollies on DVD, at last

"The Hollies have had little in the way of video material released until now, with this new collection. Among the highlights are excellent promo clips of "I Can't Let Go" (with newboy Bernie Calvert) and "Dear Eloise", plus live or live vocal over studio track performances of "Gasoline Alley Bred", "The Day That Curly Billy...", "Sandy", "The Air That I Breathe", and its vastly underrated/overlooked followup "Son of a Rotten Gambler", thrilling to hear performed live, as is "Daddy Don't Mind, taken from the "Supersonic" UK pop show. The clips that have the studio recordings dubbed over them are less satisfying, as some had live audio originally, notably "He Ain't Heavy..". I can understand wanting to have nice stereo sound to accompany the high quality video, but any live performance is better left that way, even with imperfect audio. Interview clips with Graham, Allan, Tony, and Terry seem too short and end abruptly. But all in all, this is a very worthwhile collection of video material for The Hollies fan."
Worth it for the DVD

"The CD is no great shakes as far as the content is available on other, less expensive, CD compilations. The real treat is the Dvd which contains a few rare interviews. The 'live' videos of 'Bus Stop' and 'Daddy Don't Mind' are worth the price for the true fan. 'Curly Billy' and 'Boulder To Birmingham' are also gems as they are often overlooked even by fans. A must for the true Hollies fan."
5 Stars for the DVD alone-a rare treat

"I have been wanting a collection of Hollies videos for the longest time and at last have a really excellent collection starting with the earliest Graham Nash videos and going through the eighties. The quality of some of the videos is worse than others, but it doesn't really matter. Any serious Hollies fan will absolutely want to lay out the bucks and get this collection.
I haven't even played the CD-it's not any different than the dozens of others I have, but I would have paid fifty bucks just to get the videos.
A really nice treat.
