The range, the wide open sound, the way she floats over songs with unlimited, colorful power. Every song seems to cater to her sparkling voice just perfectly. I love the opening track, SUN WON'T STOP -- it just makes you want to sing along. There's not "getting into it" time on this one! This record is pure-sounding and enjoyable from the start. The title song, SKY DANCES just makes you wish you could sing like that!! One funny thing about Holly Near generally, is that she always sounds bright and cheerful ... even when she's singing about death or something! Occasionally, that's a little amusing. But you have to take that as just being part of her style.She is a top-notch singer, sharing songs of substance. And this is her most beautiful album."
