A fun CD but not all inclusive

"Of the 45 dances presented during Burn the Floor, this CD covers perhaps one-eighth of the material. What is included is well worth the flatter but it leaves you wishing for more. Favorite tracks that are sure to get you out of your seat and dancing quickly are the memorable tunes by the group Touch and Go "Dance With Me" and "So Hot" which is heard near the finale of this epic production. If you love ballroom dancing, buy the DVD. Burn the Floor is Ballroom for the 21st century. What is completely awe inspiring is how the choreographer assembled these dancers from all over the world who were once competitors on the ballroom circuit to function as a team in just a matter of a few months time.
Burn the Floor opens with a graceful waltz and transitions into an edgy new age number. From there, the audience is immediately swept back in time to the 1940's for the swing sequences that had everyone jumpin' for jive. Check out the ladies dresses here, it's a first. Nothing is left out: paso doble, cha-cha-cha, tango, samba and the ending has to be seen to be believed. Yes, it's that good. Bravo, Burn the Floor cast and crew.
The costumes, set design and lighting are all top notch and this music stays with you long after the show has ended. I would have given the CD a higher rating if not for the missing selections.
A wonderful New Years resolution, get hot and Burn the Floor. Happy 2007!"
