"America's Choice, Hopkorv and Yellow Fever were Tuna's hard rock triumvirate. Only America's Choice is essential but Hopkorv is not without it's merits either. There are some classic Tuna cuts here with Watch The Northwind Rise as the best of the bunch. Jorma, Jack and Steeler play inspired, hard and tight blues rock. Terrific trio. Worth getting just not a classic...Simon"

"Ignore the covers on this album, this is pretty good electric tuna. North Wind Rise in not the only gem here, plenty of good rockers. It is sort of an odd album for Tuna, one suspects the need to fulfill a contract obligation, nevertheless, good backbeat blues."

"I beleive one of the best ballad-type albums that Hot Tuna has put out or anyone else for that matter. Wake up in the morning and watch the north wind rise is awesome.......just listen for yourself! Hold onto your hats 'cuz love ballads aren't the only "types" of songs on this great mix album!"

"A real great album for a great few musicians. Jorma & Jack sound fantastic playing a little heavier than most other Hot Tuna releases. This album sounds better everytime its played. It must be played at full volume to really get the true effect. This album needs to be in every serious musicians or music lover's album collection"
