"Killer debut from the former members of Unida. This is disc kicks ass from the opening track thru to the last track. Its one of the best releases of 2009. Go buy it now!"

"These guys come out of the gates swinging! I'm totally digging this CD and will definitely be recommending it to my friends and family who dig my music.

I have been a long time fan of Kyuss and followed John Garcia into Unida, and then Hermano. I stumbled across House of Broken Promises while browsing youtube for Unida videos. I was floored listening to 'The Hurt (Paid My Dues)', excellent song! Then listening to another video where they covered Billy Squire's 'The Stroke', I had it in my bones to come here and get their CD.

Listening, I hear tones/styles from many other influences, but the Stoner roots are definitely there and for that I am a happy, happy man! This band has a kick-a$$ debut CD and I'll be on the look out just in case they come to near my town so I can go kick it and watch them!"
Outstanding album...and...

"...if there is any justice in this world, 2010 should be a banner year for Small Stone Records: this album and Luder's "Sonoluminescence" are top albums of the year; totally different, and both amazing. As the previous reviewer says, this band continues the Unida tradition...and goes beyond it. Great musicianship from all band members here, and the bass playing is especially striking (somehow the bassist sings, plays rhythm, and manages to play something like a "lead bass" track in each song, especially in "Hurt")."
