"Another live album from Marty Haugen and David Haas, this one includes quite a bit of Jeanne Cotter's work songs as well. I don't feel this album holds up as well against "Come and Journey", primarily because I'm not a big fan of Jeanne Cotter's songs (although she has a wonderful voice). David Hass puts in the strongest showing, including the very moving "Wherever You Go". Most of Marty Haugen's songs are more somber than usual though "All You Works of God" is an upbeat, welcome addition to the album. So, I don't think this album is as strong as "Come and Journey", but it's quite a good album anyway."

"Recorded at Prince's Paisley Park Studios (of all places!), the songs of Marty Haugen and David Haas come off well in this intimate live recording. Of the three billed performers, Haugen is definitely the best. His songs are more directly based on Scripture and are the best melodically. Haas's songs can be a little overbearing, but songs like "You Are Called" actually sound better than the original recordings, without the occasionally overdone production of the studio versions.
However, the album is brought down by the inclusion of the songs of Jeanne Cotter. She has a good voice, but her syrupy, cloying songs are just awful. Those looking for inspiration for their faith will be very turned off by sappy tracks like "Balloon Man" or "Cassie's Song". These don't make me want to seek out her solo albums in the least.
I always program my CD player to skip her songs. When I do, the album is very enjoyable, with spirited performances by everyone. If you do the same (or if you can actually put up with her songwriting), the album is not a bad purchase at all."

"I have always liked Jeanne's work on this collection. Her newest album, Diamonds on the Water (mythicrain.com), is unbelievably solid and amazing! The changes in her voice from then until now are remarkable. Congrats, Jeanne!"
Fantastic and inspiring

"There is a wonderful mixture of selections on this tape...inspirational, fun, light. I played my original tape so often that I wore it out and can not imagine being without some of these songs. Each artist makes unique contributions with their unique style."
