CD ReviewsYee-Friggin'- Hawww!!! R. Deardorff | Capitola, CA USA | 02/28/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "Just classic, truck drivin', bar-room honky-tonk, with some of the most unashamedly "hard country" inspired steel guitar I've yet to hear (and I've been looking high and low). Every cut is a real s--- kicker. This is the kind of music I want to hear when I want to go country. I just wish more artists would follow their lead." REAL country at its best! Kenneth A. Hippler | Minneapolis, MN | 07/31/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "Simply put-if you are a fan of real country music which makes no apologies for it, then this CD is essential!!!! (...)" The real Country artists of today Bt | Parts unknown | 02/24/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "Yep, I say that it's artists like the Hoyle Brothers, Fortytwenty, Dallas Wayne, Billy Don Burns, Dale Watson, Wayne Hancock, Hank III, Arty Hill, Rockhouse Ramblers, The Salty Dogs, Two Dollar Pistols, Roger Wallace, & Ed Burleson who deserve the mantle of today's "Real" Country artists. That other stuff being labelled Country in this day, and age is "Pop" music with little country sounds thrown in. It's all assembly line fluff for kids. Man, the days when the "Outlaw" movement was popular are over. Any kick-ass Country being made today is completely "underground', so to speak. The Hoyle's are fantastic. They bring back the days of Barroom music, & I can feel a beer bottle flying by my head when I listen to this! They have a sophomore release planned for May of this year, & I'll be first in line to pick it up. I hope they realize that while they're under the radar, the people who like them, respect them even more for staying true to themselves; which is harder to do in today's market."
