Album DescriptionTwo years after the release of their first record, "The Trap", the Hushpuppies are back with a new album, "Silence Is Golden". And if this five-piece band took time to release it, it was obviously for a good reason : for two years the band has been touring all over France and Europe. And this live experience clearly helped the boys in finding another way to play together. Recorded in the well-known Black Box Studio in Angers by Peter Deimel -who also recorded albums for dEUS, The Kills and Chokebore-, "Silence Is Golden" sounds much heavier and more accomplished than the first album. Songs like "Down, Down, Down" show the band's evolution very well : those five thirty-year-old men aren't teenagers anymore. "Silence Is Golden" is the perfect bridge between deep garage rock and genuine pop music, and make you want to scream, more than keep silent.
