"Reading the liner of this CD gives one the impression that its music is a sinewy slipride through a nocturnal world of twilight jazz, deliciously cheesy lounge textures and midnight-ride pieces that are as dangerously alluring as a femme fatale and as smooth as a gin and tonic. Sound too good to be true? In this case, IT'S NOT!!! The entire album delivers the surreal fabric that David Lynch fans love so much about his movies and always-accompanied soundtracks by Angelo B. It looked too good to be true to me but I'm sure glad I took the chance because Hybrid Device's first endeavor is a perfect late-nite soundtrack if you want to introduce a smoky sinister element to your atmosphere and a wonderfully solid work of the techno-acid-jazz genre that is consistently satisfying. Perfect for listening on headphones when you want to lie back, close your eyes and listen to something that conjures up cool, alluring and deliciously sinister images. No funk affectations here . . . Hybrid Device is pure, 3 a.m. surrealism."
