CD ReviewsCertainly Took It II D Extreme retro_styled_crooner | Tustin, CA USA | 09/16/2003 (4 out of 5 stars) "II D Extreme (D'Extra Wiley, Randy Gill (Johnny Gill's Brother), and Jermaine Mickey) combines hip-hop production with 1970s soul (Donny Hathaway, L.T.D.), which falls, without doubt, into the New Jack Swing category, at times. Their self-titled debut produced three hits; the lead single "Cry No More," which features Erik Lil Rick White (Keyboards, Programming, Producer, Engineer) and Kevin "K-Jack" Jackson, the second single "Up On The Roof," which is a cover of The Drifters early sixties hit, shows the three vocals in top knotch form, and follow-up third single "Let Me Love You," was produced by The Funky Descendant Hami. The three would go on and have a farely successful career, contributing to 1994's Blankman Soundtrack (did a cover of the Spinners "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love") with Patra, and in 1996 releasing their second album titled, From I Extreme II Another." Pretty Good Stuff K. Cartwright | Monroe, Louisiana, United States | 02/21/2003 (3 out of 5 stars) "I love Up On the Roof! My friends and I think it's one of the best songs ever written. II D Extreme provides some great music for whatever mood you're in. It's good stuff!"
