"if you are not familiar with Ian ,this is a good cd to begin with. It gives the listener a chance to here Ian in a solo/leader form, I have only heard other recordings where he is a featured soloist in a big band (Rob Mcconnell et al) setting. Very easy listening,good tunes, but not enough contrast, the entire cd somehow seems to be a extension of one song . All tune are performed well ,even without a full rythym section (you'll find out) . Just short of a great cd, but a good cd to introduce yourself to Ian Macdougall if you are not familiar with his playing."
