CD Reviews

OLD SCHOOL ICE - T

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Old Old School Ice!, January 11, 2004
Reviewer: Scotty from United Kingdom
I bought this CD originally for 2 trax.Tibetan Jam and Reckless.
These were missing from my Ice T collection and were apparrently electro classics, a scene I remember from my teenage years.
The other trax on the disc were welcome bonuses.Killers is an early example of message rap in a similar vein to Grandmaster Flash and of course the classic 6 'N The Mornin',perhaps the original gangsta rap tune, is here in its original form.
The only weak link in the collection is the mix at the end which is why I rated 4 stars.
All in all a good collection of early to mid-eighties Ice T.
