"Verdi's opera Il Corsaro was not recorded completely so many times by music companies. The fact adds value to this album. In addition, this album was recorded in 1975 when Jose Carreras was invading many world famous opera houses as a new big star. I think Carreras's voice was the best for Verdi operas during 70s. You can feel Jose Carreras's clear, healthy, beautiful, powerful and wonderful voice throughout this album. Other singers - Jessy Norman, Montserrat Caballe - are, too. All three are in excellent voice. I have CD and LP. Philips had improved clearness and reinforced the sound quality more with stereo sound focused on orchestra and chorus in CD than LP. It will give you more vivid sound as if you are in an opear house. You'll never be disappointed."
