"If you are a fan of "They Died For Beauty", Ilya's debut album, then you will definitely want to snatch this cd up. The songs featured on this album are in the same vein as songs featured on Ilya's previous album. If your ears have never been blessed by "They Died For Beauty", then now would be a great time to introduce yourself to their music. Back to this album, "They Died For Beauty: Part 2" this is certainly not, but many key elements have been retained; namely Joanna Swan's beautiful voice and the talents of multi-instrumentalist Nick Pullin. In short, if you remember the psychodelic, loungy, retro, folky, jazz from the last album, it is still present, but more focus seems to have been put on the instrumental aspect of this album as opposed to the somewhat distorted sound effects/ production of the previous album. Overall, I would say that this is an amazing album, if you are a fan of jazz, folk, rock, then you will love this. Regardless of what genre you are a fan of, once their music slips into your ears, you won't be able to say no.
