Synopsis

Album Description
Formed in 1991, In Strict Confidence are once again poised to take control of the electro/industrial scene with their latest offering Love Kills! Led by frontman Dennis Ostermann (Vocals/machines) and Jörg Schelte (machines), ISC once again push the envelope of experimentation and further their own evolution. ISC's distinct brand of pounding beats, harsh vocals and melodic undertones sets a new standard while distancing themselves from all others. Tracks such as "Zauberschloss" and "Kiss Your Shadow" are destined club hits and once again prove ISC as a true pioneers of the modern sound. Also the welcome addition of a female vocalist on "Silent Memorial" and the lending hands of mega producer Bruno Kramm (Das Ich) and Olaf Wollschläger (Paradise Lost, Yello and Melotron) have sculpted and perfected the new ISC soundscapes. The latest ISC offering is a must have for fans of Frontline Assembly, Skinny Puppy and KMFDM.

CD Reviews

An improvement over ISC's past releases

"Before Love Kills!, I was only a casual fan of In Strict Confidence. There were a few songs scattered throughout their releases that would catch my attention, but nothing worth buying the entire album for. However, Love Kills! marks somewhat of a departure from their previous sound. Each song now possesses more structure and steady pace, making for an all around listenable album. If I had to compare ISC to more popular bands in the industrial/EBM genre, I would have to say they now sound like a combination of Evil's Toy (for the angels theme, and the high bpm nature of their feature songs) and :wumpscut: (for some of the more abstract tracks). There are a couple of bridge tracks that are bland, but the feature songs such as The Truth Inside Of Me and Kiss Your Shadow are pure excellence. I would also like to add that the cover booklet for this CD is one of the most well designed I've ever seen. With the translucent green tint to every photograph and light overlay paper, it communicates the dark, gothic theme perfectly. If you are a fan of bands like Evil's Toy, :wumpscut:, and Abscess, you will probably be pleased with ISC's evolved sound. Love Kills! deserves a place in your industrial music collection."

"I don't know why but I love ISC! I think they sound quite original as far as this style of music goes. My favourite tracks on this album are "Heaven Is The Place To Be', "Kiss your Shadow", and "The Setting Of The Sun". This is not the best ISC album but it is a good one and I think it mat be getting close to be Out Of Print. I know that Metropolis doesn't current distribute this album so if your allready a fan than you should get it while you can. If your new to ISC you may want to start with one of thier better albums such as "Holy" or "Mistrust The Angels". Great Electronic-Industrial music!!!"
