With lyrics that are straight from scripture, full of love and gushing with hope... ITMOL never fails to rattle my bones and inspire me with flat out TRUTH. I'll clarify, while these songs are explicitly Christian (and are literally praise and worship style pieces) they are also performed with gnashing guitars, growling vocals and insane drum performance. If you don't like hardcore metal, STAY AWAY from this band. However, if you have the slightest interest in the brave and different Christian bands such as: War of Ages As I Lay Dying Mychildren Mybride Becoming the Archetype Underoath Norma Jean Demon Hunter etc. Do yourself a favor and pick up this album NOW. You will not regret it, and you'll be very inspired. PS The guitar work on this album is flat AMAZING. The dual leads weave in and out of each other with such precision, skill and virtuosity... it'll literally blow your mind." Coming across new bands from Myspace, Magazine's and Amazon, I was surprised that i liked this, but then again I have been wanting something that will grind my mind. Out Of Darkness sure gets me going. If you like brutal Death Metal I think you'll like In The Midst Of Lions. They may not be your favorite new band you listen to, but sure is worth a try. I would say if you like Job For A Cowboy you might like In The Midst Of Lions."
