"I happened upon the video about two weeks on VH 1 Soul...I sat there awe struck, immediately getting into the groove and message of the song. India.Arie is a special artist. I've got both of her other CD's and while I enjoy them, nothing on them grabbed my attention like this song did. She's so good, what she does is effortless. I don't usually buy a CD anymore right off, but when this one drops in June, I will be buying it the first day. I'm 46, old school to the bone and I get tired sometimes with a lot of the music of today. Thanks to India.Arie and other artists like her (Erykah, Jill, Musiq, Kem, the Roots, Common, Kanye) I can at least be "kinda hip to my daughters.""

"I'm Not My Hair is the song most hot I've ever heard off any India material about self respect and lovin' not how looks are but how's inside. Lovin' it so hard can't get enough must hear."

"India Arie for me has been a Artist that I like some of her stuff&then there are other tracks that just never jump off for me,but this cut is banging.I dig the message big time&it speaks to people judging people by there hair&thinking without knowing what the person is about. this song is very timely&speaks directly on a very important point.really good track."

"I LOVE this song. Not only can I jam to it, but the words are very strong and meaningful. One can listen to this song 50 years from now and it will still be inspirational to so many listeners. Never before have I been bobbing my head to a song while saying, "Yeah...That's right!...Tell it...Ain't that the truth!..." I'm so glad that Ms. India Arie is back. I've missed her voice and the soul that other artists wish they were blessed with. I can't wait until her new album comes out!!"
"My favorite song ever by INDIA ARIE is "The Truth" from her second CD, but this one comes mighty close to dethroning it.
What a fabulous song! This woman is just so inventive and creative!! I can't believe it. This song carries so much meaning and emotion and truth. I just can't praise INDIA enough. She's so underrated and gets none of the media blow up she deserves.
I can't wait for the album to drop, and until then, I'm jamming to the powerful prose of the novelist Kola Boof, who to me is the India Arie of the book world. Her black love story "Flesh and the Devil" goes good with India's music and I wish my people could find both.
