Great mix of industrial and electronic

"I just heard about this band from a friend of mine and had to find out more about this industrial meets electronic group (imagine throwing Nine Inch Nails, Lisa Gerrard, and Massive Attack into a musical blender). Industrial Monk is actually a duo that have incorporated the best of the old world with the technology of the new. One of the best things is the use of chanting chamber singers over the ambient electronic beats. My favorite tracks are "Vide Domine" and "Ave Maria" off of PROPHECIES and "Requiem" and the title track from MAGNIFICAT."
More of the Same and Yet Different

"This is a "sequel" to Magnificat (by Industrial Monk). I was afraid that having Prophecies from a different recording label (Magnificat was released by the prestigious Telarc label) that perhaps the quality would be diminished.
Actually, it has not. You can tell its the same guys, but they do several new ideas and spin-offs from their debut album. And it is as effective as ever. The last track sounds a bit spacey at first, but turns out good."
