Product Description'The infernal comedy' is a personality profile of a serial killer. The role with a hypnotic fascination and some comical moments fits tight like a glove for Hollywood actor and superstar John Malkovich. The musical adaption for theatre is the story of a psychopath, a theatre play for a barock orchestra, two
sopranos and one actor, based on the true life story of the murderer Jack Unterweger. Jack Unterweger, an acknowledged prison poet, genius author and journalist, notorious womanizer and prime example of a successful social rehabilitation, was gradually conveyed guilty in a series of
murders to prostitutes in Vienna, Graz, Prague and Los Angeles. At some point disappearing from Vienna and fleeing to the U.S., he was arrested in Miami and extradited to Austria, where he committed suicide after he was convicted in eleven cases of murder and sentenced to life prison. His victims in the theatre adaption are being performed and sung by Laura Aikin and Aleksandra Zamojska, with the arias taken from Mozart, Haydn, Weber and Vivaldi operas. Melodramatic and instrumental music
from Gluck and Boccherini lays foundation to the protagonist's words, while the Orchestra Wiener
Akademie is being conducted by Martin Haselböck.
