"The second album from Intro, New Life, finds the trio (Kenny "G-Love" Greene, Jeff Sanders, and Clinton "Buddy" Wike) demonstrating maturity in their work, particularly in terms of its musical compostion and arrangements, "The album is called New Life because it's reflecting a new era for Intro," says Greene. New Life's maturity is musical as well as lyrical, as tracks like "Strung Out On Your Lovin'" and "Feels Like The First Time" and especially the stevie wonder-inflected title track (dedicated to Greene's father, who passed away) show a depth of songwriting. The album features no less than seven producers (including Greene, Hall, and Nevelle Hodge), which make the flavors even more diverse.Lead singer Kenny "G-Love" Greene died of complications on October 1, 2001 due to being infected with the AIDS virus. The last time Kenny was in the recording studio was in early 2001 singing background vocals for Tyrese "For Always" song on Tyrese 2000 Watts CD. Then in 2001 Kenny admitted to Sister 2 Sister magazine that he led a bisexual lifestyle and he had full blown aids. He died in Los Angeles, California."

"This CD is the sophmore project from Intro who dazzled us on their debut CD. This CD shows us a mature side from this group and is more balanced from start to finish with the opener, "Strung Out On Your Lovin'". Then the next song, "Funny How Time Flies" is a straight Intro cut with a hip hop vibe with Intro sultry vocals. Some of the other tracks that caught me by eye is "New Life" & "What Would You Do For Love"(Re-make of Bobby Caldwell's chart topper). After Boyz II Men & Jodeci, this was one of the best groups of the '90's hands down and I still think a lot of people slept on this group. I will always remember this group forever. RIP Kenny "G-Love" Greene."

"This is a great cd that was overlooked at the time of it's release. Every song on the album is great. This cd has a timeless feel to it, where as when listening back to their first cd (though it was very good) some of the songs sound very dated. Unfortunately lead singer Kenny Greene died from AIDS some time ago. He was not only a great singer but also a great songwriter. Many don't know he co-wrote "Reminisce", "Love No Limit" & "My Love" from Mary J. Blige's "What's the 411?" cd as well as "You Don't Have to Worry" from her 411 remix cd. Those mentioned tracks were standouts on those cds proving the extent of Kenny's talent. If you like any of the Mary J. Blige songs listed above you should give both of Intro's cds a try. RIP, Kenny."
