"Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms made me finally take my Godsmack CD out of the player. I've been listening to this nonstop since I got it. It starts out strong with "Fading Ability to Compromise," and keeps rocking to the end with "Of Equal or Lesser Value." "Coming Down" and "Beer and Loathing in Lost Vegas" beat anything I've heard on the radio in the last ten years. Even the ballads have a hard edge. "A Wrinkle In Courderoy" is so intense it gives me chills every time I listen to it. This is real rock and roll at it's finest. If you love music you can bang your head to with melodies you can't stop singing BUY THIS ALBUM NOW!"
Rock n' roll salvation arrives from the south

"It's about time a band from the states did something worth mentioning, since all the best rock n' roll has been coming from the likes of Sweden for too long now. "Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms" IS the best rock record of 2001, hands down. If you can imagine the Backyard Babies or Hellacopters after a few months of drinking from a backyard still in South Carolina, or what might happen if Skynyrd joined forces with the Misfits...that's the kind of music on this disc. Songs like "Beer and Loathing in Lost Vegas" should be on the radio everywhere, leaving bands like Creed to staff yogurt shops, or whatever it is they did before ruining the airwaves with that watered down crap they keep writing. Isabelle's Gift delivers without pulling any punches. From the opening salvo "The Fading Ability to Compromise" to the seething "A Wrinkle in Corduroy," the band has officially jumped in the ring to take on everything wrong with rock in the USA. A totally unexpected, incredibly worthwhile recording."
Great cd!!
