"Step 1: Buy Dream Theater's "Images and Words". Enjoy it, and come to the conclusion that anything that sounds like this album must be good.Step 2: Get a band together. It's not important if the musicians aren't on the same skill level as Dream Theater. If anyone notices (and they probably won't, right?), just tell them you were going for a "rawer" sound. That should do it. Name the band after a lyric from a Dream Theater song, and hope no one notices. After all, not that many people bought "Images and Words" anyway, right?Step 3: Make an album. Be sure to throw in every prog cliche you possibly can, and do it sounding as much like Dream Theater as possible (that is, the best you can, given your limited skill level). Be sure to top it off with some cheesy cover artwork to illustrate your band name. When people see an ivory tower on the cover, and remember it's the name of your band, it will totally blow their minds, dude.Step 4: Release the album to the public, and watch the fans come rollin' in.Look out Dream Theater, you've got some major competition!"
