"For J Church fans, Oct. 21, 2007 is a sad, sad day. For anyone that hasn't heard, Lance Hahn passed away that day. What he leaves behind is a massive collection of songs ranging from really good to ridiculously amazing. This entire album falls into the latter category. This is one of the few albums I own that I listen to in its entirety without skipping tracks. Every song is a standout.
I read an interview where Hahn said that the punk kids don't like J Church because their music is too indie and the indie kids don't like their music because it is too punk. Personally, I think it perfectly blends the best of both."
