One of the classic jazz vocal lp's of all time FINALLY on cd

"Although I'll take the lp anyday over the cd, this cd will introduce a whole new generation to this major talent. Not many know that Teagarden was vocally at his peak by the early 1960's. He was an exellent singer, and one of the greatest bluesy jazz singers of all time. This exellent cd, re-issues in full the lp "Mis'ry & The Blues." An lp that was wonderful because it mixes intrumentals with vocals for a ferfect blend of jazz and elegance. Teagarden's best 3 sessions came from his 3 verve lp's(the other was the highlight of his career THINK WELL OF ME). Here there are several Willard Robison songs which Teagarden croons beautifully with all the charm of Bing Crosby. His trombone solos are good, but the highlight of this lp is his vocalizing which sounds SOOOO SMOOOTH! A great lp, now a great CD!!!"

"The best quality jazz sound is on this Teagarden album from 1961. I love this style and the vocals are perfect. The trumpet by Goldie is as good as he gets. I recommend this one for any Teagarden fan, or anyone who enjoys the best quality jazz."
