"BREL in 1966-67 was outstanding in every way. If you don't like that one , you'll never like him it's clear. This is the stuff that made him a legend ,and just let me try to analyse some of these songs that may help convince you to buy it.AU SUIVANT tells the story of a guy making his military service ,who goes to the bordello, but can't take his time to make love, because of thehuman traffic;GRAND-MERE is a businesswoman whose husband is unfaithfull ,but in the end we learn that she is gay;LES BONBONS 67 is a follow up to a song of the same name that was very popular when BREL did it live;it is the story of a guy who brings candies to his girlfriend because flowers are perishable .Like most of the songs, it is actually a satire of a shy guy.The song actually was inspired by real characters.JACQUES BREL was much more an actor than a conventional singer, but that's what really made him great and unique."
Unbelievably strong

"This music is the strongest, emotionally most engaging, record I have. I just keep returning to it."
