"Im not a big r&b fan but for some reason when I listen to jagged edge, something about their melody gives me the chills. Ive been their fan ever since "gotta be" came out and they have consistently stayed with the same jagged formula with style of its own. the latest single,"walked outta heaven" is heaven-sent. what else can I say they are pure genius at what they do. keep up the good work fellas! please dont sellout like all the other desperate singers, keep doing what ya been doing."
Finally...new jagged edge music

"jagged edge is back and stronger than ever. after waiting patiently for more than two years for something new from this southern quartet, i can honestly say that i am impressed that they have returned to their strong sexy love ballad roots .... after purchasing their last album " jagged little thrill" i was disappointed that there werent more standout ballads that they are known for, the kind of ballads that made me feel like i was back in the 90's and listening to Jodeci's "cry for you". thats right...but i digress, back to the review...
this song is a slow seductive ballad about losing the love of your life and wanting to get the feeling back. yeah, i know, nothing new there, but jagged edge just sings it so well that you can literally FEEL their heartache.
"I'm rolling down a lonely highway,
asking God to please forgive me
For messing up the blessing he gave to me, I see
Everything clearer now
The nights as black as black as it's ever been,
without my girl I'm losing
And I pray that he just sheds his grace on me
I need just to be back with my baby"
wow....they put their heart and soul into the lyrics of this song and it shows in their delivery. its incredible how these 4 guys can evoke so many feelings from their listeners....If this single is an indication of whats to come on the album, then i'm headed to the store ASAP...."

"Ever since "Gotta Be" came out... I was hooked! Brandon & Brian Casey are the best soulful male writers that I can think of. Even with this fourth album (Hard), they still carry the same vibe from "A Jagged Era" You can expect new things from them... but they slowly incorporate a new groove with each album. I am 100% positive that you all will be getting a review from me when Hard does come out in October...As far as "Walked Outta Heaven" LOVE IT...LOVE IT...LOVE IT! Never a disappointment with Kyle, Wingo, Brandon and BrianGIRLS GONE WILD... A cute little song...I like "Walked Outta Heaven" better though..."
Keeping a formula that works...

"When I first heard "Walked Outta Heaven", the first song that came to mind was "Let's Get Married", another Jagged Edge song. Sounds similar but it still works. I like seeing that Jagged Edge has stuck with the same formula that their fans all know them for instead of trying to hop on bandwagons trying to sound like something they're not. Bottom line: Nice sweet song. Don't know about that "Girls Gone Wild" song though."
This is a tight jam

"They aren't the best male R&B group to ever come out because you have to take into account All 4 One, New Edition, Silk, Troop, Boy II Men, then take it further back with the Isley Brothers and Earth Wind & Fire. Though in this day and age, they are the best male R&B group with dope beats and lyrics with Brian McKnight being the best modern solo R&B artist. Jagged dropped Gotta Be and from there on out, they've been droppin hits. This song "Walked Outta Heaven" has a mixture of something old and new of what Jagged Edge does. Lyrcally, it's fresh, something knew. Somewhat of a sad song that some of us may be able to relate to. It may make many listeners reminisce about someone. The beat is somewhat of an oriental sounding with somewhat typical Jagged beat. Though this gives it that something old and new. Overall it's damn good. I'm expecting something good from their 4th album since their 3rd was a bit of a disappointment, but was still good."
