"Jair Oliveira (formerly known as Jairzinho) decided to adopt his name rather than a childhood nickname, not as a denial of his past, but as a new way for future paths in music, says the artist.
In fact "Outro" shows a grown-up artist, as did the previous album "Dis'Ritmia". New Brazilian music at its best. Jair is able to mix the old samba (a big influence on him due to his father history and the records he used to listen to when he was a kid), with popular music in his unique style. "Outro" is a good album that can show you the directions of the new popular music in Brazil."

"the 1st song i heard by jair(zihno) oliveira was called "papo de psiologo". it was on a compilation album from putumayo. the first time it heard i had 2 find out who this guy was!!! i finally ran in2 "outro" 1 random day, and i loved it right from the bginning! the harmonies, the brazilian coating, the soul of the music, it was all so very good. the favorite(s), "bom dia, anjo", "amor e saudade", and "frio pra bem longe" r some of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard! i don't speak brazilian portuguese, nor portuguese 4 that matter, but the music speaks 4 itself..."
