(4 out of 5 stars)
"The title track "Lotus Path" rose into being after Asher found a hand-crafted 36 stringed dolcimer in the Hobgoblin, a folk music shop in London. As a master drummer and keyboard player, Asher found a particular tuning for the dulcimer and has mastered it as well. The dulcimer is coupled with a bazouki in Lotus Path... Asher describes them as 'kindred spirts'. Entering the realm of its ethereal trancendental clock, Lotus Path pulls you in with a powerful drone that is only complete with the chants of the Indian percussion maestro Sivamanti. Lotus Path graces us in just over 30 minutes but could have easily been the full album. Just 4 stars because Asher's Shaman Drums reins supreme."
