CD ReviewsGood Songs, Great Voice tgfabthunderbird | York, PA United States | 12/21/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "I first heard of James Blundell in '91, when a country station I dj'd for started playing the "Blue Heeler." The song remains one of my favorites, and the CD has some well-written and well performed tunes.
"Age of Grace," despite the Aussie colloquial expressions (mobs, etc.) appeals to anyone of a farm or ranching background, "Time On His Hands" and "I'm Afraid" are all exceptional. The US record label was trying to market Blundell a bit like John Mellencamp. I can see some paralells, but not that many. In any case, a CD I play often." |
