Move over Titanic, Mood music with REALISTIC Heart to it!
01/13/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"As a musician and future music educator, I feel it is safe to say that this soundtrack is James Horner's unsung masterpiece. It moved me more than any other motion picture soundtrack I've heard in a long time. The beautiful melodies that sweep across the orchestra perfectly set the gentle mood of the entire movie. Each scene in the film is lovingly complemented by the introverted themes stated in the horn and the flute. As the orchestra swells in dynamic intensity towards the beautiful harmonic climax, one can clearly interpret the nature of the wonderful friendship portrayed on the screen . Absolutely delightful soundtrack that I will enjoy again and again."
Most beautiful soundtrack ever

"This soundtrack is by far the most beautiful score I have ever heard. A friend of mine let me borrow this CD and I just fell in love with it. I haven't seen the movie in a very long time, but it is soothing music that both makes your heart happy and ache all at the same time. I loved other scores from James Horner (Field of Dreams and Legends of the Fall), and other artists like Rachel Portman, and Thomas Newman, but this CD absolutely surpasses them all."
