"I was more than pleased with this album. You like a Marching Band? He sounds as such. You like a Classical sound? He sounds as such. You like Dance music? It's here. Even I do not understand Spanish or German, that rendition of "La Paloma" is out of this world. I have loaned this Disc to Four people,(Glenn Miller, James, and Benny Goodman fans, I believe two out of the four ordered from you in the last two weeks. Classical, Country, Listening, or Dancing-this is MUSIC FROM ACROSS THE WAY- and the BEST-AT LAST"

"This is a wonderful album, I really love it. Its so joyful, happy, and uplifting. Such as the first tune "Das ist die Liebe der Matrosen",and "Good Morning", and "What Shall We Do With A Druken Sailor?" I am an American but I love to hear German music and to hear German music sung in German altho I do not speak German. I even love "La Paloma" sung in German and Spanish, the man who sings it has a beautiful voice. I Have seen a vidio of James Last's orchestra and it was fantastic all the dancing was so great, but when you hear this CD you can not see them perform but the voices help to make up for this. They add excitement to it. I wish all his albums had vocals. At this time this is the best pops orhestra to come out of Germany I believe, and my favorite orchestra of popular music in the world."

"This is one of his better CD's and Freddie Quinn really makes the shanties come alive. I even got a little homesick hearing these melodies."
