"This album was the first in this series to use violins, instead of the choir, as in the volume one. What a difference these instruments made! I have had this gem in my collection for almost 30 years, now, and whenever I hear it, I enjoy to the maximun!!!! This highlights those incredible strings, in their full fidelity, and the result is pure listening enjoyment!!!! You are treated to Hansi's arrangement of "Elvira Madigan", simply the best on record. This track was an immense hit for Last in Germany, and the single version went gold! But beyond this track, you will enjoy so much more by this international star. For my favorite, it is "Romance for Violin and Orchestra", as well as the feisty "Slavonic Dance". But be assured, that everything here is truly special. A strong recommendation to add this to your collection!"
Simply super!

"Another Classics Up To Date winner!Track 3 Romance for Violin & Orchestra is beautiful!Track 4,Impromptu #2 is dreamy and romantic.Track 6, Impromptu #3 is facinating.Track 8,Slavonic Dance is great with accordians. And Track 12,Ballet Music,or Stranger in Paradise is always beautiful, especially the way Hansi does it with harmonica and voices.Shucks,it's all good.Hansi has turned a not too keen on classics into a lover of classics!"
