"This compilation recording is a perfect way for the new listener to aquaint himself/herself with the magical musical world of James Last. I have this collection of Hansi's most popular recordings, and probably each any every original album upon which they appeared. To the fan who has heard OF James Last, but has not HEARD James Last, begin with this excellent compilation, then invest in more of the "original" recordings. You will see what I have known for thirty years, now, this artist is without question, the best around, and the great thing is, he is STILL recording! It seems as though all the great orchestras have "faded away": the Faiths, Mancinis, Kaempferts, as well as the "big bands" before my time, but we have the best for LAST!!!!"

For lovers of James Last music...a must!

"A great two set package. Features the majority of his hits. This is a great addition to my already vast James Last collection..many of which I bought overseas in the 70's when James Last was at the height of his popularity. Would highly recommend this set as well."

"James Last is so well known in the European community, and lesser known here. But, one reason for his popularity are those always Latin-tinged arrangements of great music. He 'kicks-it-up another notch' (a borrowed phrase) with interweaving of modern sounds/rhythms as well. Always refreshing listening and soothing to the ears!! This is one awesome collection of some of his best."
