"The songs are well composed, well played and well sung. But the instruments, especially the guitar and the drums, sound too loud compared with the voice. Perhaps reengineering could adjust this. I don't know.

Extraordinary Christian/ folk music

"This was my first CD of Jan Krist, a unique and extraordinary sonwriter, who is always writing and singing straight from her heart about love, relationships, God's mercy and grace, her experiences and the human condition. Once in a while she slips in a fun song that arises from her natural wonderful sense of humor. I bought this one after hearing her for the first time,in concert ; I was immediately deeply touched by the beautiful song, "Blessed" which even now never fails to stir me after hundreds of listening times. Like most of her songs, it has her unique voice, a lovely melody, meaningful lyrics, a good beat, and strong playing and backup vocals.



I knew I wanted to hear more music like this and have since bought all of her recordings.



But this one remains one of my favorites with other notable songs "Simple Truth", "State of Sin", "Judgment Day", and the title song "Wounded You, Wounded Me". This CD probably has a more directly religious theme than others, but all of her songs are infused with her own strong religious/spiritual beliefs and an honesty that never fails to move this listener.
