"I was in Toronto on business a few months back and was excited to be able to have this playing in my cd player. The song "Home" has some of the most thought provoking lyrics on what home means to anyone. The song caught me at a moment in time when I was "packing and unpacking" and thinking over what was "in my suitcase". Ok...she may not be writing these great lyrics but can you hold this against her? How about Joe Cocker for that matter? This woman brings a uniquely Brittanic spirit to the glass of rum on the rocks in which we live on this planet Earth with our troubles, blues, toils, hopes and disappointments. Stephen Stills may have said "the blues ain't funny" but who has ever been hanged for having a sense of humour over watching the ashtray get dumped into the kitty litter box?
Buy this cd if you want beautifully crafted melodies kissed against the caresses of a woman enamoured with Baudelaire lost in his suitcase among today's modern day city streets.
