The Greatest showcase of space rock.

"Jane is a german band which was set up in the early 70's after the departure of keyboardist Manfred Wiezorke from the famous band, Eloy. This is undoubtedly one of the greatest space rock albums of all time. Here you can listen to the greatest song Daytime with souring guitar and perfect accompaniment of Keyboards. Every track of the album is truly great and the feeling of melancholy is obvious. The best album in spacs rock. believe me."
Early German space rock with a bit of a hard edge

"This 1972 release was issued on the Brain label and is stylistically very similar to the music Eloy made circa 1973-1974, with the exception that Jane is a bit heavier. The musicians include Bernd Pulst (vocals); Klaus Hess (lead guitar); Werner Nodolny (Hammond organ); Charly Maucher (bass); and Peter Panka (drums). There are six tracks on the album and they range in length from 3'43" to 11'53". The overall sound of the album is characteristic of space rock and the pieces predictably alternate plodding and gloomy sections that feature Rick Wright-ish Hammond work (lots of minor keys with slight modulations) with heavier sections dominated by distorted guitars. The performances are just OK and the vocals are a bit on the rough side. Although I feel that Nektar (Journey to the Centre of the Eye, 1971) and Eloy (Inside [1973] and Floating [1974]) did a better job with this particular style, Together is not completely awful and might appeal to other hardcore prog freaks such as myself."

"Originally released in 1972. Looks to be possibly the German progressive band's first album - ? 'Together' is a good effort, simply just not my cup of tea. A friend suggested that I check out a Jane title. Most notable tracks are "Daytime", "Try To Find" and the twelve-minute "Spain". Line-up: Bernd Pulst-vocals, Klaus Hess-guitar, Werner Nadolny-organ & flute, Peter Panka-drums and ace producer the late, great Connie Plank as engineer."
