All For You is my favorite track on this cd. Someone To Call My Lover is also a good song. The duet with Carly Simon - Son Of A Gun - is interesting to say the least for those of you familiar with Carly's Your So Vain, you'll just have to listen to the song to find out...

Janet's Best and Most Personal Cd Yet !!!

"I bought my favorite singer's new cd being a long-time fan of hers. My favorite cd of hers was tied between Rhythmn Nation and Janet and my least favorite was The Velevet Rope. But in my eyes she can do no wrong and with this cd she gives us everything we wanted and more. Her songs are great, catchy and extremely personal in some. The lyrics are often harsh, fresh and real - something none of the Jackson's seem to be able to give us. This cd seems to live up to its title - All For You - being exactly what long time Janet fans want: Great music and Personal lyrics. So, here is my opinion about each of the songs that appear on All For You:#1. Intro - Just one of her many "Interesting" interludes#2. You Ain't Right - I didn't like this song at all when I first heard it and it has grown on me ALOT. The chorus seems annoying the first few listens, but after a while it becomes a very fun song and a great start to an amazing album. 09/10#3. All For You - I loved this song the first time I heard it and I still do. Its Janet at her best. Breezy, Catchy, Fun and very enjoyable. Very much like Escapade. Although, I like the Video Mix on her cd single better that plays like her video, this song is very cool. 10/10#4. 2WayForYou (interlude)#5. Come On Get Up - This was instantly one of my favorite songs on the album. Very good and makes you wanna get up and dance. I hope this is one of her singles 'cause I would love to see a video for this. 10/10#6. When We OOOO - This song is very trance-like and reminds me alot of That's The Way Love Goes. It's just sexy and sweet and very mellow. It's not mt favorite, but its good and catchy. I like the music that goes with it. 07/10#7. China Love - I really did not like this song the first time I heard it. It starts out great and then I lost it. But now I have grown to like it. I really like Janet's voice on this. It's very sexy and sweet sounding. And I love the China sounding music that plays behind her voice. 07/10#8. Love Scene (ooh baby) - I could do without this song. It's not bad, but it's very predictable and sounds like alot of her other songs. Rain plays in the background and if you remember Anytime, Anyplace then you already know this song. 05/10#9. Would You Mind - Since this cd did not come with a warning label on it (which it should), I will warn you all that this song is VERY pornographic and is full of sounds, moans and language. However, it is a great song and very catchy. And the ending is funny. 08/10#10. LAME (interlude)#11. Trust A Try - This Song ROCKS!!! This is my favorite song on the cd and I hope that there is a video for it. This song is very angry. Very Black Cat and it's lyrics express so many emotions. The music that goes with the song is AWESOME and I can see this being one of her bigger hits. If you want to know why you should buy this cd, this song is the reason why. 10/10#12. Clouds (interlude)#13. Son Of A Gun (I Betcha Think This Song Is About You) - I thought this song was sooooo weird when I first heard it. Carly Simon's deep voice and Janet's sweet sounding voice make for a very odd pairing, but after getting use to it, it has become my one of my faves. It grows on you and the lyrics are extremely catchy and hard. I wouldn't wanna mess with Carly or Janet! And they have successfully sampled one of Carly's songs to give both of them a very original classic. 10/10#14. Truth - This song is my second favorite on her cd. It is so personal and touching and her voice has never ever sounded so better and more soulful in her career. This song feels like a gift when you listen to it. Like you are getting into Janet's head and her heart. Songs this good is rare. 10/10#15. Theory (interlude)#16. Someone To Call My Lover - This is another great song that would make a great video. An acoustic guitar and bass filled beats have never gone together so well before. This is another fun, care-free song that makes a great dance song and makes you wanna get up and dance. 09/10#17. Feels So Right - This song is another I could live without. In fact, I don't even remember most of it, but since I am listening to the cd right now, I can honestly say that I could take it or leave it. It's fairly catchy and that's about it. 06/10#18. Doesn't Really Matter - This song is one of my favorite songs she's EVER sung. It's so catchy and filled with funky beats that make you wanna do every thing you always wanna do when you think of Janet. If her career could be summed up in one song, this would be it. It's a classic and unlike All For You they have made this version into the video mix which makes it sound just like the video which makes it a hundred times more awesome. 10/10#19. Better Days - A very good and uplifting song to end this cd. I have noticed that this is one of the only Janet Jackson cds that doesn't end with the sounds of rain. Instead, this cd ends with a beautiful symphony that plays out like the clouds are finally separating. That seems like an amazing triumph to me and can't wait to see what Janet does next. 09/10#20. OUTRO - Janet Being A Sweetheart....."
Miss-J keeping it real..a little to real for some.

"It's Perfectly understandable that some that never heard a janet CD before, especially parents, Might be a little shocked when they hear a couple of the songs. More specifically "Would You Mind" this one you might not want the kiddies to hear. Other than that there is nothing overly shocking about the album at all. Funny thing is this isn't the first time she has cussed on an album she's done it on her last 2. The song in which she does cuss more than a couple times is "Son of a Gun".. But It fits with in the song. It's not like she's talking about trees growing and then just starts saying F this and F That. People should Listen to what she's talking about and Not just the F word.Bottom Line is this is an Excellent CD. With some great tracks..The Amazing "Trust A Try" The oh so wonderful "Someone to call My Lover"..The Seductive "When We Oooo" And of course the Edgy and funky "Son of a Gun". If you can get past some of the language and some of the sex and just listen to the album you should be very pleased as i was.The thing that upsets me a little when i see some people complaining about the language and sex is this isn't the first time she's done either. she's been moaning and groaning on her albums since "control" and as i said she has cussed before. Why some that know her work act so shocked now i have no idea. just take a listen to '93's "IF" where she talks about Oral sex. And for you parents that bought the album because you liked the title track maybe you should listen more carefully. she is saying .... And believe me your kids are hearing allot worse things at school and from their friends then just janet moaning andsaying the F word. Bottom line Excellent CD. Keep it Up Janet."
Must have

"1. Intro: this is just janet having fun. 2. You ain't right: good song but not the best.3. All For You: great song, 1st single. It's extended so you can listen to it a lot longer.4. 2wayforyou: its kind of confusing at what shes actually saying on this interlude. 5. Come on Get up: its an upbeat song you can dance to.6. When we Oooo: great romantic song. the beat is slow and almost nonexistent at the begining but a little later it comes in perfect with the song.7. China Love: As soon as I heard the song, I liked it. Her voice is echoed as she ends a verse.8. Love Scene: Excellent song. Janet starts to become more, what can I say...out there with this song. But nothing compares to "Would you mind".9. Would You Mind: the song that has the most controvesy. This song is like "Rope Burn" but to the next step and more explicit. As the song goes on she gets more and more into the song until she gets to the "Lame" interlude. 10. Lame: The interlude goes with "Would you mind".11. Trust a Try: this is the rock song. The verses she sings sound like a woman scorned and her voice is rough and then she does the hook and she sounds smooth and calm.12. Clouds: this is the interlude with Carly Simon 13. Son of a Gun: Carly Simon is also in this song singing and talking. This song has a nice beat. Janet sounds mad in this song which makes it a great song. 14. Truth: This is an amazing slow song. 15. Theory: She just talks a little on this interlude.16. Someone To Call My Lover: This song reminds me of Jordan Knight's song "Give it 2 u" where the beat is slow during the versus and fast during the chorus. And of course Janet looks hot in the video.17. Feels so Right: It's not the best but its great.18. Doesn't Really Matter: This is not the exact version you hear on the soundtrack. This version combines the video version with a couple of remixes off the single and a little extra at the beginning.19. Better Days: A sad but amazing slow song that has a good message at the end. 20. Outro: A good way to end a great cd."
Totally worth it!

""All for you" demonstrates why Janet is still around, simly because her music is 100% quality. Unlike other artist she will not cheat us (her fans) with easy, fast, friendly pop songs; no! She goes to the studio, takes her time (usually between 3 to 4 years on every new project) and comes out with her newest invention, in this case her "All for you" album. The intro that starts the cd is very fresh, very Janet, (different from the ones before, but equally interesting), we then are invited to join the fun with "You ain't right" very electronic dance track, to then listen to the PERFECT pop title track, and we complete the set with "Come on get up" to that moment we have danced to at least 15 minutes of cool, new sounds of Ms. Jackson, then you relax and enjoy (seriously the next track is sooooo cool!) "When we oooo" and the beat in the track is very contagious (a classic for you "That's the way love goes" lovers) the slow jam continues with "China love" very instrumental, the intro for the song is very pure and she sounds very crystal clear. Now a parenthesis on the program the next song "Love scene" is kind of humm ok I guess (lest push skip on the remote), we are now on track 9 and prepare for total exctassy, here we get a daring Janet, daring to push the limits, and she pretty much goes all the way in the love making art, but don't freak out she does it with class and passion, now that you've come so far on the cd, get up again and we are on the third set, my favorite track "Trust a try" makes you turn up the volume and enjoy classic orchestra intro to dance contagious chorus, and here's where the DIVA joins talents with Carly Simon "Son of a gun", (unlike many say) I think it's a very interesting song, (a favorite for the "Nasty" lovers) they do a great job and tell it like it is, the next track "Truth" is vulnerable Janet, a great song, story of her life kindda song, and after another interlude (so far we've heard 4) we get to her newest single "Someone to call my lover" very simple lyrics, Janet letting us know that she hopes to find love again, contagious rythm, and yes for the next song she does jazzy tunes, yep! "Feels so right" great song, clear music, catchy chorus, and then a flashback to last year's #1 "Doesn't really matter" with new arrangements. Now we're almost done when we hear "Better days" a positive song, honest message on hoping for better days to come and then the "Outro". And you go back to play it again, because you loved it! It's not cheap, it's not a rushing cd, she has not lost anything if anything she's still treating us to her best music to date."
Madd Phat!

"'ALL FOR YOU' is the best album Janet has done so far. The album explores different relationship levels. That many people can relate to. All those that are talking about the lyrics if you don't won't don't buy it. I mean nobody was forcing you to but it. But, I think you should buy it. VERY GOOD ALBUM. The songs that really stand out to me are: 3) ALL FOR YOU 5) COME ON GET UP 7) CHINA LOVE 8) WOULD YOU MIND 9) TRUST A TRY 13)SON OF A GUN 14) TRUTH...Aw!... I will just say that the whole cd is off the hook! It's cool because you never seen Janet so happy before in here LIFE. I mean I'm very happy for her because she has had some rough times in her life with marriage and childhood. So, things are totally like the different this time around. I mean just look at the facts. ALL FOR YOU is double platinum, multi-platinum, gold. But, WORLDWIDE the album so far has sold 4.5 million records. The title track ALL FOR YOU was added to EVERY radio station you can think of. The album spent plenty of weeks at number. It even beat out Destiny's Child album in there weeks of sales. Also, the second single SOMEONE TO CALL MY LOVER was the fastest added single to radio in history. It debut at #76 that is like major good for a song that has just came to radio. Well, that is all I have to say for the album. GO AND COP THE ALBUM... IT'S MADD PHAT / HOT! Everything you can think of that is good. DUST..."
