CD Reviews

Wow, this is real!

"It may be clean, but there's nothing to lose by getting this version. The only thing edited out basically is in the "Son Of A Gun" song, which, by the way, is very very tight r&b featuring Carly Simon! I just got this cd today, after all this time. I have to say, "Someone To Call My Lover" is my favorite, I just love the beat, the rythm, and the video just makes you love Miss Icon herself Janet Jackson! This is a must have for any cd collection, I am really into Janet's r&b flavour, she gives r&b the best flavour. It's a very smooth, up-beat, and very powerful album that any music lover should have to show off in their collection, this cd is da bomb! Other cool songs are "When We Oooo", "All For You", "U Ain't Right", "Come On Get Up", "Love Scene (Ooh Baby)", & the very touching ballad "Better Days"! This cd is really good, I am very serious. It is one of the best cds that I could have chose to buy today. I do NOT regret getting this, it is totally worth every penny. You should get this!!! Remember, Miss Janet if you're nasty!"
Good Move the Right Move

"This is a great CD. It it so good to have Janet's work cleaned up as it were. I am not one in favor of cencorship unless it comes from the artist and is a genuine alternative from the artist. Janet demonstrates that she can just rely on her talent. That's a good thing."
Incomplete, but a clean classic!

"First off, I think buying this by itself is a bad choice. Pick up the DVD edition instead...The cd it comes with is the clean version with 2 extra tracks, AND A DVD! The mood of All For You is more upbeat and happy than the Velvet Rope, which was depressing at times. The highlights are (in order) You Ain't Right, All For You, Come On Get Up, Trust A Try, Son Of A Gun, Someone To Call My Lover, Doesn't Really Matter, and Better Days. If you get to listen to these, you'll know why they're so great! This album to me sounded chopppy and fun, and thats all I can add to explain it. Also check out the flawless "Damita Jo", the tracks are arranged beautifully, but you can tell by the interludes they were intended to be in a different order at the time of recording."
