"The performance captured on this CD is a good one, with the Scorchers in fine, raw mid-80s form. Arguably the only misstep is letting Warner Hodges, um, "sing" "Travelin' Band," and even that is sloppy fun. Be warned, however, that the sound quality is pretty dismal. The vocals are pretty muffled, the bass is almost non-existent and Hodges' guitar is feedback-ridden whether it's his intention or not. Plus there's one MAJOR flaw: there's a skip at the end of "Help, There's a Fire," then we're suddenly in the middle of "Hot Nights in Georgia." This very obviously comes from the source and is not a problem with the CD pressing. While it's hard for me to imagine a Scorchers set without "Georgia," at the same time I think I would have left it off if the only rendition had this serious a problem in it. Oh well.Newcomers are advised to hit the used CD stores and find a copy of Midnight Roads and Stages Seen. Rock On Germany is for diehards only."

If I could turn back time, I wouldn't bought it.
Amazon should have warned that this CD is just the recording of a record."
